About

Miles City Federal Credit Union is Miles City’s oldest standing credit union! Miles City Federal Credit Union (MCFCU) is a non-profit cooperative financial institution owned by the membership to benefit and serve the members.  MCFCU was chartered in 1952.  The original field of membership provided financial services to State, County and City employees living in Custer County.  By 1967 membership had grown to 290 members with $152,000 in assets.  In the following 30 years, the institution grew to a membership of 1,001 members (reaching peak members!) and $1,811, 173in assets.  By June 2011 the membership was around 649 with total assets of $2,771,201.

The credit union continues to grow and add new services.  Membership in the credit union is obtained with a minimum $35 share held in a share (savings) account.  Once a member opens a shares account with the credit union, they are then eligible for all services offered by the credit union. The field of membership has expanded over the years and in September 2015 we converted to a Community Credit Union.
